The Butterfly Project is close to being complete. I’m learning so much about Monarchs!
I posted earlier with the caterpillar of the Monarch Butterfly.
These little cocoons are only about an inch long.
The tattered cocoon was a real challenge.
I finally settled on using tracing paper for the cocoon.
I’m pretty pleased with how the adult butterflies turned out.
Next up: remake the caterpillar about 30% smaller, cut out the framing butterfly, and then mount everything!
