I was fascinated with the work of Janna Loucks – you can see Janna’s work here. I was especially taken with her Africa Collection!
So I’ve been experimenting with a technique called layering and these are my first attempts.
The photo was turned into a black & white image, the background eliminated, and then I posterized it using Photoshop or Picmonkey.com. Then after a lot of cleaning up the image, deciding what colors to use, and a lot of time getting my brain wrapped around which parts to cuts and which parts to leave, here are my efforts.
Jagger is a Springer Spaniel with a lot of personality!
Swiffer is a gorgeous cream-colored fluffy cat, and he knows it!
Bronco and Edward are best pals. Bronco was found at the dump with an infected eye and had it surgically removed so he always looks like he’s winking. Edward is the youngest of the group and always playing and exploring.
