I found some instructions online for making blocks made from old business cards, so I decided to make a few (okay – 200!) for my 3-yr old great-nephew as a Christmas gift.
He’ll be able to customize them using markers, paint and stickers so it will be a great rainy-day activity. Mom is concerned that he can be rough with things, but they’re paper – who cares?! I’ll make more!
You can find the directions for making the blocks HERE.
I made these with the tabs on the outside because it doesn’t take as much time and I figured that a 3-yr old little boy wouldn’t care! But with a little more time, you can tuck the tabs in for a cleaner look.
THANK YOU to the Union College staff who donated their old business cards. I now have so many cream-colored business cards that the 1200 cards I used for this project didn’t even put a dent in my supply!
Now I need to think of some other projects I can do with the business cards. Any ideas?
